EXPERIENCE
I created Family Medical Care in 1985 (subsequently renamed) as a solo family practice, which grew to include two multi-service medical centers offering Family Medicine, Urgent Care, and Occupational Medicine. In addition to four Physicians, two Physician Assistants and a staff of 35 treating over 100 patients a day, other providers included a Cardiologist, Clinical Psychologist, Physical Therapist, and a Registered Dietician/ Licensed Nutritionist. Primary & Urgent Care services included preventive care (all types of physicals, immunizations, etc.), minor emergencies and surgical procedures, fully equipped lab, EKG and X-ray. Occupational Medicine services provided both in our offices and at industrial on-site facilities included DOT, OSHA & NIOSH Physicals, Pulmonary Function Testing, Hearing Booth, Titmus Vision Testing, Drug & Alcohol Testing and certified MRO & BAT Services. I treated all types of work-related injuries and established an Early-Return-to-Work-Program Team consisting of a Physician, Physical Therapist, Psychologist and Nurse.
I saw a variety of problems in all three disciplines mentioned above. We have had electronic medical records since 2004 and were almost completely paperless. I have experience with all forms of minor trauma (both work and non-work related), chronic and acute diseases, as well as preventive care.
My interest and background in Computer Science enabled me to personally administer in-house IT, Medical Records and Accounts Receivable programs. I arranged the entire network and connection of the three clinics to simultaneous live data. I was also involved in developing and improving an A/R Program and, more recently, our paperless EMR Program from inception as a Beta Site.
I am licensed in North Carolina, Illinois and New York and speak English, Spanish, Hebrew and Hungarian.
